2/16 Show
KBUT's Winter 2009 Pledge Drive continues to roll on, smashing expectations as we reached $23,565 by the end of my show on Monday. While Music is My Girlfriend was not quite as prolific as the shows before mine on Monday, I am still quite happy with the $250 raised during my show. Thanks to all my friends and family who pledged!
A bevy of worthwhile albums saw their US release today (February 17th): Hold Time by M Ward, The Blue Depths by Odawas, Tight Knit by Vetiver, and the compilation Dark Was the Night. I played tracks from all of the above, as well as tracks from the highly anticipated new albums from The Thermals & The Decemberists. You might also notice a small Strokes/Strokes-side-projects set.
I'm thoroughly enjoying the new self-titled album from The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Its terrific.
